Thousands of years ago someone crawled into a dark cave with some kind of fire and drew this image. Why? Why didn’t s/he just work out in the daylight? How many people saw the image at that time? Was it just one person, or did they work in teams? One to carry and keep the fire and one to draw? How many knew of the magic they made in the secret heart of the world?

the BBC made an interesting program about these paintings, where scientists found that people in trance (sjaman?) had visions of the most important creatures in their culture. Som cultures would see horses, others cows etc.
Also there have been found abstract designs weith these paintings. When in trance it is a possibility, and proven also, that one sees such stripes and dots in different colours.
