Lighting a Fire for the Future

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”

~ William Butler Yeats

I am done with filling pails. There is no joy in filling pails. Lighting fires is bright work that inspires the teacher as well as the student. Ignite the world with the joy of discovering new worlds. The flames will spread faster than anyone can fill the pails to put them out.

“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.”

Sinclair Lewis

I just threw this one in to show what could happen if we don’t light some fires.
