Although I am still encrusted in the gloom of winter, things don’t look as bad after another long week. My attitude is definitely improving even though the weather is not.
I had a dream about planning a parade with a vision of a beautiful straight main street lined with tremendous stately maple trees golden and casting dappled shadows on an autumn afternoon. It was warm and safe and empty of people.
“This is the street for the parade!” I said to my friend who wasn’t sure if it was long enough.
That is where I am at now. I have a beautiful place in my mind but I am not sure if I can get my whole parade on it. Maybe I just need to make my parade smaller, only a couple of marching bands and not too many floats, but I have to have shriners on minibikes. It just would not be right without that.
This probably makes no sense to anyone but me, but that is fine because January is not making much sense in real life, I might as well have a parade in my dreams.
Oh yes, with thousands of lights and roasted chestnuts all round. Perfect.
