Two Pieces in a Blue Sky Puzzle

I was sitting in a meeting. Someone was saying some things I heard earlier in the week. So my mind started to wander through some ideas about existential philosophy that I had put away a while ago. I pulled them out and blew the dust of, and there were two ideas that seem to go together like jigsaw puzzle pieces of pure blue sky.

1) All actions are equal when viewed objectively.

2) Any action I take cruel or kind can have little effect on the universe, but will have a tremendous effect on me.

I put them together and put them away carefully to await the other pieces that will complete my blue sky some day. Maybe there will be a sun. I don’t know yet.
