Works in Progress January 2011

What we are working on in my classroom:

We are looking at Andy Goldsworthy and studying natural sculpture ideas. We washed the rocks and put them on the towel to dry and then just left them out with some other materials and a book for inspiration. I have been letting the children guide me in what steps to take. Next week we will go on a walk to see some sculptures nearby.

What I am working on at home:

I am working on a 3D assemblage of random items arranged under a broken wine glass. The dead wasp was in some things I dug out of storage from our move in July. The metal is a cutting strip from an aluminum foil box.
