I found an ancient receipt with all the printing worn off among the sedimentary layers in my sweatshirt pocket and saw that it had an interesting pattern crumpled into it. It also felt like fine tissue drawing paper. So I started drawing on it with a regular cheap ball point. When I was finished with that I glued it on to a piece of cardboard, from some packaging, that had some parallel lines printed on it and expanded the drawing. I love using materials that come into my hands and letting the creative process take its course.
Same cheap ball point, only on some really nice pen and ink paper.
I have been putting assemblage together for about a month now. I am not sure how I will attach the metal objects, but it will be something simple like nails and wire, maybe a little solder. Who knows? That’s what makes art such an adventure for me.
